Rubber Matting and Rubber Sidewalks
Rubber mats are a viable and economical long-term solution for use in extremely challenging site conditions. The textured surface provides excellent traction, especially when compared to CLT mats, for all types of tracked and wheeled vehicles. The inherent flexibility of these access mats allows forming to the natural contours of rolling land. Rubber mats are superior to wood mats at absorbing impacts, minimizing mat damage and breakage. They are also very easy to clean.
Rubber mats are comprised of crumb rubber and urethane from 300 – 400 recycled tires, supporting Paradox’s commitment to environmentally-friendly industrial solutions.
Paradox holds a shared patent on a reinforced torsion system integral to all rubber mats we sell. The steel reinforcement moulded into each mat ensures rigidity and strength not found in competitor’s mats. The torsion system is designed to add rigidity to the rubber, just like the steel belting in a car tire. This controls the natural tendency of rubber to deflect, creep or migrate away from the loading point. The torsion system provide just the right amount of rigidity to the structure, allowing it to conform to irregular terrain while at the same time containing the creep of the rubber.
Rubber mats are ideal for use in access roads, heli-pads, laydown areas and wash pads. They provide rip-resistant, safe traction to vehicles with corked (ice pick) tracks. With rubber’s high insulating value these mats are ideal for use around electrical equipment. They come in various thicknesses to match your soil and loading requirements. They weigh the same as an oak mat and come in 8′ x 14′ standard size.
