Hybrid mats, part of the swamp mats family, are wood mats best suited for medium-duty situations where ground conditions are more stable and/or the supported loads are not extreme. Hybrid mats are made primarily of fir with an outer perimeter of oak, giving you the advantages of fir mats (lower cost, lighter weight) and the damage resistance of hardwood mats when being installed and removed.
Hybrid mats offer approximately 70% load capacity of oak mats while being 25% lighter, and are cheaper alternate option than bamboo mats when properly applied. They offer significant transport cost savings as you can load more of the lighter-weight hybrid mats per Super B than you can hardwood mats. An added benefit is the reduced emissions associated with fewer shipping loads.
